Vadodara: Devotees reached the historic Koteshwar Mahadev temple in Vadsar of Vadodara city to have darshan of Mahadev by risking their lives. Because along with the water of Vishwamitri river, crocodiles have also come on the way to the temple. And amidst all this, devotees have to walk through dirty water and crocodiles to reach the temple.
Every monsoon, the water level of the Vishwamitri river rises due to rain and the river water backs up into many villages and residential areas. But along with the water of this Vishwamitri river, river-hoofed crocodiles are also entering human settlements. As a result, there is a fear of crocodiles among the local people.
But now the water of Vishwamitri river has returned on the way to the ancient Koteshwar Mahadev temple in Vadsar village of the city. And since the holy month of Shravan is going on, devotees are going to this temple even through knee-deep water to have the darshan of Mahadev.
Not only is the water of the Vishwamitri river a problem for the devotees while passing through this route, but along with the water, the crocodiles of the river have also become a big problem for the devotees. As the municipality did not do anything in this regard, finally it was the turn of the devotees to reach the temple through the crocodiles to have the darshan of Koteshwar Mahadev.
