Patients will now be able to get knee and shoulder surgery done through telescope method in the district hospital and medical college itself. Assistant Professor of Medical College Dr. Ashutosh Verma has received fellowship in arthroscopy. He has been given this certificate by KGMU Professor and President of Arthroscopy Association of Uttar Pradesh Dr. Ashish Kumar and Secretary Dr. Vinay Pandey.
Assistant Professor Medical College Dr. Ashutosh Verma said that he has been awarded Arthroscopy Fellowship in a ceremony organized at Atal Bihari Bajpai Hall of KGMU Lucknow. Earlier, the patient had to visit Lucknow for ligament repair by telescope method, but now he can avail this service in the medical college itself. He has received this training from Maulana Azad Medical College New Delhi and during the Arthroscopy Conclave 2024 ceremony on Sunday, he has been given this certificate by Dr. Ashish Kumar, President of Arthroscopy Association of Uttar Pradesh and Dr. Vinay Pandey, Secretary. Now knee and shoulder surgery can be done by telescope method in the medical college, which is very beneficial, due to this the patient will be able to go home in less time and will also avoid major operation.
