Taiwan considering visa on arrival for Indians : The Taiwan government has made efforts to strengthen relations with India and bring Indians to their country. Their government has started preparations to give 'Visa on Arrival' to Indians. Taiwan's Deputy Foreign Minister TN Chung-kwang said that the Taiwan government is seriously considering giving the facility of visa on arrival to Indian tourists.

He said that the aim of simplifying the visa process by our government is to strengthen relations with India and encourage Indians to visit Taiwan. He also said that Indians travel a lot, so we are actively considering providing them visa on arrival facility under the Look East Policy.
'We will first discuss with our immigration department'
Speaking to reporters in Taipei, Taiwan's Deputy Foreign Minister Kwang said, “We will discuss the proposal internally with Taiwan's Immigration Department before deciding on visa on arrival. We want to promote friendly tourism and business travel with India.” He recalled that when India launched the 'Look East Policy' in early 1991, both countries relaxed visa restrictions.
Countries that grant Visa on Arrival to Indians
According to the list of countries providing visa on arrival to Indians, as per data till 2023, Indian citizens can visit seven countries on visa on arrival for up to 90 days: Iran, Tanzania, Burundi, Mauritania, Gabon, Samoa, Togo. Maldives and Cape Verde can be visited on this visa for up to 60 days. While Indians can travel to Saint Lucia for 42 days and Comoros Islands for 45 days on this visa.
Apart from this, Indian citizens can travel to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Jordan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Madagascar, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Laos, Somalia, Bolivia, Botswana, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Timor – Leste, Tuvalu, Marshall Islands, Guinea-Bissau, Palau Islands on visa on arrival for up to 30 days.
