Faridabad, July 20 (HS). An agreement was signed between NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVNL) and Haryana Government on Saturday in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini and Union Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. In this agreement with Gurugram and Faridabad Municipal Corporation, a plant to make green charcoal from waste will be set up.
Before the assembly elections, this plant is also being considered a gift from Chief Minister Saini to Faridabad and Gurugram. During this, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that today it is a matter of great happiness for Haryana that an agreement has been signed between Gurugram and Faridabad Municipal Corporation and NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited. Through this, plants will be set up to make green charcoal from garbage. These plants will be set up in Gurugram and Faridabad with a capacity of 1500-1500 tonnes. These plants will cost around Rs 500-500 crore.
Nayab Singh Saini said that these plants will be set up in Bandwari of Gurugram and Mothuka of Faridabad. For this, 20-20 acres of land is being provided by both the municipal corporations. Its construction work will be completed in about 30 months. Due to this, there will be no mountains of garbage in Faridabad and Gurugram. People will get clean air. This is the result of PM Modi's foresight. He said that the garbage will be sorted and sent to these plants so that green charcoal can be made. Green charcoal will be used as fuel along with mineral coal. This will reduce the consumption of mineral coal. It will also reduce greenhouse gas. It will be used for power generation.
