Free Electricity in Odisha: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday (May 27) announced free electricity in the state. Addressing a rally in Kendrapara, BJD chief Patnaik said that from July no one in Odisha will have to pay electricity bills. He said that the BJD government will provide free electricity to the people.
BJD leader and 5T chairman VK Pandian was also present at the rally. During this, VK Pandian said that people will continue to get free health services under the state government's BSKY scheme. He said that people will also be given free electricity. Pandian claimed that Naveen Babu will take oath as Chief Minister on June 9.
