581689 Doctors protest

New Delhi: There is still anger in the medical community over the incident of rape of a female doctor in Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital. It is reported that resident doctors are now preparing to open a unique OPD outside the Health Ministry. On the other hand, the strike called by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) ended at 6 pm on Sunday. But the doctors' protest is still unchanged.

AIMMS and many hospitals in Delhi have announced to start a protest outside the Doctor Nirman Bhawan by providing OPD services from August 19. The special thing is that the office of the Ministry of Health is also located here. A press release issued by the Resident Doctors Association said that OPD services will start on the road outside Nirman Bhawan in Delhi.

It said- After discussion with the Action Committee of Central Protection Act and the General Assembly of RDA AMS, it has been unanimously decided that the strike will continue, as our demands have not been met yet. It has alternative OPD, ward and OT services, ICU, emergency procedures and emergency OT. The release said that resident doctors will be present outside the construction building for OPD services for patients. Along with this, emergency services will remain as they are in the hospital.

Doctors have pointed out the lack of security for health workers. The press release said- We will continue to provide health services to patients in the national interest and for our oath. We want to highlight the lack of security of health workers across the country. They have appealed to the government to immediately bring a central ordinance for protection.
