Now digital payment is being done for everything from tea to drinks, know where the report is pointing?

Digital Payment: PM Modi's dream of Digital India seems to be coming true. That is why today in small cities of the country, people make 65% of their transactions in digital mode while shopping. If we talk about cities, this figure has reached 75%. If we talk about online shopping, then 90% of the people shopping on this platform prefer to make digital payments. This information has been received from a report by Kearney India and Amazon Pay India.

Digital payment even in offline shopping

The report also shows that people have started using digital payments in large numbers for offline shopping as well. A person wants to drink tea or eat paan and then quickly makes a digital payment for the payment. If you want to buy a pouch of milk from a neighborhood shop, its price is Rs 54. But there is no change in your pocket. You took out your mobile phone and immediately sent Rs 54 to the shopkeeper's account. According to this report, 50% of people are adopting digital payment methods while shopping offline.

The lure of reward points

Digital payment apps or sites usually offer reward points or cashback to attract customers. This also motivates people to make digital payments. Many people living in cities are preferring digital payments due to speed and convenience.

Some people were worried

Actually, educated people or alert and aware people are easily adopting digital payments. But people in villages and small towns are still hesitant to use it. 51% of the respondents expressed concern about financial fraud and 49% expressed concern about double debit. 51% of the people said that they prefer cash payment instead of digital due to internet related problems.

Where was the survey conducted?

To prepare this report, a survey was conducted among more than 6,000 consumers and 1,000 merchants in 120 cities of the country. According to this report, cash payment is more prevalent in case of payments less than Rs 500. But in the absence of change, everyone is accepting digital payments. Now merchants have also rapidly adopted the digital mode of transaction and now 69% of payments are made in digital mode. Street vendors have also started taking about 46% of payments digitally. You will find the QR code of some company or the other at almost all shops in the cities.
