Railway Online Booking Updates: While booking tickets online in railways, all the passengers used to complain that first they see the confirmed tickets, but while booking it takes so much time that the ticket remains in waiting. Or sometimes the money is deducted, but due to the slow process the ticket is not made. For such passengers, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is going to give a gift. Soon online tickets will be able to be booked in the blink of an eye. You just have to wait for this. Let's know the complete plan of IRCTC.
According to IRCTC CMD Sanjay Jain, low capacity is the main reason for many problems like money being deducted while booking tickets, payment failure or waiting for a confirmed ticket. That is, the capacity is less than the number of people processing online ticket booking, due to which passengers have to face problems.
This work is currently being done
Currently, IRCTC is working on increasing the capacity. Its process has started and will be completed by March 2025. After this, tickets of tourists will start getting booked online. It is being said that from next year the ticket booking process will not take much time. There will be no waiting time after clicking. The process will start directly on this and you will get the ticket in no time.
More than 9 lakh online tickets are purchased daily
There are 3 crore IRCTC users across the country. Currently, more than 9 lakh tickets are being booked online every day. This includes online booking by passengers as well as agent booking. More than two crore passengers travel by train every day.
