News India Live, Digital Desk: A big step has been taken to improve health services in Jharkhand! Now patients will not have to wander to find an ambulance in case of emergency, rather they will be able to call an ambulance as easily as booking an ‘Ola’ or ‘Uber’ taxi. Jharkhand government has launched a new mobile application named ‘JeevanDoot App’, which will make ambulance services accessible across the state.

How will ‘Jeevandoot App’ work?

This app will make it very easy for people to book an ambulance.

  • Easy access: The app will automatically show nearby available ambulances. Users will be able to book an ambulance based on its type and availability.
  • Timely Help: This will save time in emergency situations and patients will be able to get medical help as soon as possible.

Where will services be available?

Right now this app is mainly used in Jharkhand. Gumla, Simdega, Seraikela, Khunti, Koderma, Latehar and Palamu. Like it has been started in 7 districts. However, there are plans to extend this service to all the districts of the state in future. In the first phase, special attention has been given to rural and tribal dominated areas, where lack of emergency services is often felt. People in these areas often struggle with transportation problems, due to which many times patients do not get timely treatment. This app will help in bridging this gap.

New step of revolution in health care

This app can truly revolutionize access to health services for the people of Jharkhand. Now with just one phone call or one click on the internet, an ambulance will be at your doorstep. ‘Jeevandoot App’ is an important effort to reduce the disparity in health services between the rapidly growing urban population and remote rural areas in the state. People of Jharkhand will now feel more secure in times of medical emergencies, because they will be able to get this facility without any hindrance.

If this initiative is successful, it can become a model for other states also, so that access to emergency health services can be further improved across the country.
