Senior party leader Jitendra Singh is upset over not getting the ticket and has said goodbye to the party and resigned from the post of primary member as well as the post of District Vice President. Jitendra Singh announced his resignation in a press conference. During this, he said, 'Monday was the last day for filing nomination papers, but Congress has not yet announced the name of the candidate. I have been demanding a ticket for a long time, but the party has ignored me by blaming the alliance religion. For this reason, I have resigned out of disappointment. Now I will contest elections as an independent candidate to serve the public.

Jitendra Singh, active Congress leader since 1989

Senior Congress leader Jitendra Singh has been with the party since 1989. He started his political career as a polling agent in Chandan Bagchi elections. He has also been a contender for the post of District President four times. He expressed his desire to contest elections from Jamshedpur West Assembly seat in 2019. Congress leader Jitendra Singh said that he will contest the elections as an independent candidate to live up to the expectations of the people.
