Washington: This is absolutely clear. Whatever America says externally, at heart it is pro-Israel. On the other hand, anti-Israel protests are gaining momentum in American universities. Clashes continue between pro-Palestinian students and pro-Israel students. Pro-Palestinian students are attacking Jewish students. The matter has also reached President Joe Biden. These riots are particularly widespread at L University, University of California-Los Angeles and the University of Michigan. Pro-Palestinian protesters set up tents on the college campus. So the pro-Israel students pounced on them. Their tents were uprooted. Seeing the riots getting out of control, Virginia Foxx, chair of the House Education and Workforce Committee, warned that the universities should be taken over by the committee. Pro-Palestinian protesters also called the students 'swindlers' and 'useless'. “Colleges are neither theaters for riotous youth nor battlefields for radical students,” he said.
On the other hand, the police entered the college campus and forcibly evicted the students from the tents which had not yet been uprooted by the Israel supporters. They too were uprooted.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson praised Congress' decision to set up a committee to investigate the incident. While the 80-year-old North Carolina representative and chair of the House Committee, Virginia Focus, warned students against graffiti on college walls as well as campus walls (writing pro-Palestine text) or even on trees (Palestine Supporter graffiti) will not be put up. He once again assured the safety of Jewish students (the issue is that America is pro-Israel).
