Notice to Lok Sabha Secretary for preventing Waikar from taking oath as MP

Mumbai: A notice has been sent to the Lok Sabha secretary to prevent Shiv Sena candidate Ravindra Waikar, led by CM Eknath Shinde, from contesting the election after he was declared winner from Mumbai's North West Lok Sabha seat. Taking oath as Lok Sabha member.

During the counting of votes for North West constituency, the returning officer has lodged a complaint at Vanrai Police Station in Mumbai regarding the phone call of Dinesh Gurav, data entry operator of Encore System of Jogeshwari Assembly constituency of Election Commission. On the other hand, Shiv Sena-UBT, which faced defeat in this election, has also prepared to challenge the entire counting process in the court. Shiv Sena UBT has alleged that no transparency has been maintained after the 19th round of counting.

The notice sent to the Lok Sabha secretariat by Hindu Samaj Party candidate Bharat Shah through his lawyer said that he had complained about irregularities including the use of an Election Commission employee's phone by Waikar's brother-in-law at the counting venue. A police inquiry is being conducted into the entire counting process. Then it would not be constitutionally appropriate to swear in Waikar as an MP.

Earlier, there was no demand to stop any MP from taking oath, but it was said that if Waikar was sworn in, it would be considered an insult to the constitutional process.

The CCTV footage of Nesco Centre in North West Mumbai constituency is being deliberately withheld. This fact shows that the government machinery is helping Eknath Shinde and Ravindra Vyakar under pressure from the central government to hide the truth. Not only this, an election petition will also be filed in the appellate court in this open case of corruption and use of illegal means to win the election.
