Palamu, October 28 (HS). After the nomination for five assembly seats in Palamu district, scrutiny of all the papers was done on Monday. In this sequence, nominations of five were canceled due to various errors. In this way now 94 candidates are left. The date of withdrawal of nomination is 30th October. Then it will be finally known how many candidates remain in the election fray. In case of withdrawal of names, the figure may also decrease. After the end of the date and time of withdrawal of nomination, symbols will be allotted to all the candidates.
The scrutiny process was completed as per the stipulated time and duration. Scrutiny for Hussainabad assembly constituency took place at Hussainabad sub-divisional office, for Chhatarpur at Chhatarpur SDO office, for Daltonganj at Sadar SDO office, for Panki at Supply Officer's office and for Vishrampur at Additional Collector's office, in which along with the officials, nominations were filed. Candidates or their representatives were included.
From Hussainabad Assembly seat, nominations of maximum two candidates Anita Devi and M Tausif were rejected. Mrs. Anita Devi had filed her nomination as BSP candidate and M. Tausif had filed her nomination in the name of Congress. Both the candidates who filed nomination in the name of political party did not submit the election symbols of their respective parties, due to which their nomination forms were rejected. The nomination papers of 20 candidates from this seat were accepted after scrutiny.
Mohd. from Daltonganj assembly seat. The nominations of Ayub, Devendra Singh, father of Paramdev Singh from Panki and independent Amit Kumar from Vishrampur seat were cancelled. Various errors were found in their nomination. In this way, there are now 24 candidates from Daltonganj, 16 from Panki and 20 from Vishrampur. The nominations of all the 14 candidates who filed nominations from Chhatarpur seat have been found correct. In such a situation, no one's nomination was canceled from here.
