Nominations of 21 candidates found valid from Kanpur and Akbarpur seats

Kanpur, 26 April (Hindus). Under the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections, the nomination papers of the candidates of Kanpur Nagar and Akbarpur seats were scrutinized on Friday. The scrutiny officers rejected the nomination papers of 18 candidates. Thus, nominations of 11 and 10 candidates were found correct in Kanpur and Akbarpur seats respectively. However, the last date for withdrawal of nomination is till 29th April.

District Election Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh said that in the fourth phase for the formation of the 18th Lok Sabha, voting is to be held on Kanpur and Akbarpur Lok Sabha seats on May 13. The nomination process for this started from 18th April and continued till 25th April. On Friday, April 26, the nomination papers of the candidates for both the Lok Sabha seats were scrutinized.

Meanwhile, candidates from Kanpur Nagar seat are Alok Mishra (Congress), Kuldeep Bhadauria (BSP), Ramesh Awasthi (BJP), Ashok Paswan (All Jan Party), Prashast Dheer (All India Forward Block), Arvind Srivastava (Independent), Alok Mishra. The nomination papers of (Independent), Manoj Kumar (Independent) were found correct. Whereas those who filed nomination from this seat are Pankaj Patel, Preeti Rathore, Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, Arvind Kumar, Arun Kumar, Jai Prakash Pandey, Mohit Kumar Sahu, Ramesh Chandra Awasthi, Rakesh Singh Gihar, Raju Bhartiya, Subhash Chandra, Surendra Bajpai, Vijay Narayan. Pal's nomination papers were canceled after investigation.

Similarly, Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Devendra Singh alias Bhole, who filed nomination from Akbarpur Lok Sabha seat, Samajwadi Party's Rajaram Pal, Bahujan Samaj Party's Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi, Sabhi Jan Party's Ashok Paswan, Bharatiya Shakti Chetna Party's Chandresh Singh, Rashtriya Jan The nomination papers of Utthan Party's Ram Gopal, independent candidate Prem Sheela, Yogesh Jaiswal and Rajaram were found correct upon scrutiny. Whereas the nomination papers of Dinesh Kumar Patel, Pradeep, Kuldeep Kushwaha, Ranjana Dixit and Dr. Vijay Narayan Pal, who filed nomination from this seat, were canceled during the investigation.
