Dausa, May 17 (Hindustan Reporter) The annual function of the hostel run by Ghumantu Caste Upliftment Trust in Dausa was organized on Friday in the presence of Sant Rajudas Maharaj at Adarsh Vidya Mandir on Jaipur Road. Addressing this, the saint said that commendable efforts are being made by the volunteers for the upliftment of the nomadic society by running various projects. The project of providing free residential education to the children of the society by keeping them in hostels is also exemplary. He called upon the people of the nomadic community to come forward and educate their children.
Provincial Hostel Head of Nomadic Work, Ajay Kumar said that after independence, the population of our country has reached 145 crores, but even today we have not come out of caste issues. The ancient history of our country has been glorious and the concept of a united India is strong in our minds. But due to the differences prevailing in the minds of our people on caste issues, many divisions of the country took place. During the period of development of the country, the nomadic castes of the society were left behind, but these social brothers have played an important role in the freedom movement.
He said that the role of the people of these communities in the revolution of 1857 has been unforgettable. We should not forget that the nomadic society which maintains the pride of the country has to be brought forward. The nomadic society with a population of 12.5 crores did not develop. In such a situation, we have to think how these castes can be uplifted. 14 hostels are being run in the state, so that the children of the nomadic community can get educated and move ahead.
