Noise Control Act effective in view of examinations

Jagdalpur 20 February (HS). Collector and District Magistrate Vijay Dayaram, keeping in mind that there should be no disruption in the studies of students and candidates during the school and college annual examinations under the education session 2022-23, under the Noise Control Act 1985, from 6 am in the entire Bastar district. Till 10 pm, except the occasions mentioned in Section 13 (1) of the Act, the use of noise and all sound amplifying devices as defined under Section 2 A, B and C of the Act has been banned till further orders.

Violation of the said order will be punishable under Section 15 of the Act. Under the order issued, the Municipal Magistrate Jagdalpur and all the sub-divisional magistrates under their local jurisdiction will be the prescribed authorities for granting permission for a limited period on suitable occasions for the purpose of Section 7 of the Noise Control Act. This order will be immediately effective.
