The scientist, who will win the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2022, said, “Only when you support talented young people to do research based on their ideas do new ideas emerge.” This is something that can happen in every country, certainly in India as well, because India has a very vast and rich spiritual and technological past.
The Ministry of External Affairs gave information about PM Modi's program
The Ministry of External Affairs informed about the Prime Minister's program between PM Modi and the Nobel Prize winning scientist's visit that he met four leading Austrian Indologists and scholars of Indian history. He is a scholar of Buddhist philosophy and linguist Dr. Birgit Kellner, modern South Asian scholar Prof. Dr. Martin Genszl, Professor of South Asian Studies at the University of Vienna. Boran Larios and Dr. Karin Presendanz, Head of the Department of Indology, University of Vienna. The Prime Minister also exchanged views with these scholars on various aspects of Indology and Indian history, philosophy, art and culture. In the discussion, the scholars talked about their academic and research relations with India.
Condemn terrorism
Apart from meeting these leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said before his official meeting with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer that India-Austria friendship is strong and will become stronger in the times to come. In a joint statement issued after the talks between PM Modi and Austrian Chancellor Nehammer, both the countries condemned all forms of terrorism including cross-border and cyber terrorism, indirectly attacking Pakistan and China.
