Mayor Vanita Seth said that the corporation took this step today for environmental protection. Swachhata Pakhwada is being celebrated on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, which will continue till October 2. Under this, tree plantation and cleanliness campaigns are being run. In this fortnight, No Vehicle Day was celebrated today with the message of reducing pollution in the environment. In this, officers and employees reach the office on foot, bicycle and e-rickshaw. Now it is being decided that No Vehicle Day should be celebrated once a month, in which everyone will reach the office without a vehicle.

The process of arrival of officers and employees started at around 10 am today in the Municipal Corporation. Mayor Vanita Seth reached the gate of the corporation by e-rickshaw. From there she went to the office on foot. Additional Commissioner Sunita Pankaj also reached the office on foot. XEN Praveen and Subodh reached the office by bicycle. Most of the employees came to the outside of the office by e-rickshaw and entered the main gate on foot.
The people from North arrived in their vehicles
At present, both North and South Municipal Corporations are operational in the Municipal Corporation premises. On Tuesday, No Vehicle Day was kept for South Municipal Corporation. In such a situation, when the employees and officers of North Municipal Corporation reached with their vehicles, they were given entry from another route of the corporation so that No Vehicle Day could be successful in one corporation.
