Bhopal, 2 October (HS). On Wednesday, on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Congressmen remembered his virtues and reiterated their resolve to follow the path of truth and non-violence.
State Congress President Jitu Patwari remembered Mahatma Gandhi by garlanding and offering flowers on the statue of Mahatma Gandhi located in the old assembly Minto Hall complex and on the statue of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru near the complex. Congressmen including Patwari sat there and sang the hymn of Mahatma Gandhi's Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, Vaishnav Vajanti Tere Kahiye and appealed to the people of the state to follow the path of happiness, peace, prosperity and truth and non-violence in the state.
Jitu Patwari said that today will never be forgotten in the history of the country and the world. Today, the country has moved towards economic progress and social progress only because of Gandhiji's thoughts. No one has ever been able to erase the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi nor will he be able to erase them. There is no place in the world where there is no statue of Mahatma Gandhi. If most of the ideas and values that have been studied in the world are those of Mahatma Gandhi, and as long as the universe exists, no one can erase or change his ideas.
The PCC Chief said that the contribution of every soldier of the Congress Party should be a big contribution in assimilating the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi. Our leader Rahul Gandhi walked 4 thousand kilometers, that was the idea of Mahatma Gandhi, in which there is truth, love, brotherhood and love. When we talk about Rahul Gandhi's caste census, the idea is to promote one caste. This idea was the idea of Mahatma Gandhi in which equality, tolerance, harmony and social justice have been talked about in the country, there are some societies which are economically weak, then if the government of the country does not help them then who will.
Patwari said that the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi should be spread to the people with full devotion and honesty and they should raise their voice in every possible way against those who are against his ideas and those who want to kill the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi. Today is the day to remember another great man, former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, who gave the slogan 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan' to bring green revolution in this country. Just as the soldier works with the same honesty and devotion to protect the country, Farmers also work with equal strength to provide food to every living being, we have to respect the farmers along with the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi, only then we can all imbibe the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi.
