Bhopal, 2 October (HS). On Wednesday, on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Congressmen remembered his virtues and reiterated their resolve to follow the path of truth and non-violence.
State Congress President Jitu Patwari remembered Mahatma Gandhi by garlanding and offering flowers on the statue of Mahatma Gandhi located in the old assembly Minto Hall complex and on the statue of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru near the complex. Congressmen including Patwari sat there and sang the hymn of Mahatma Gandhi's Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, Vaishnav Vajanti Tere Kahiye and appealed to the people of the state to follow the path of happiness, peace, prosperity and truth and non-violence in the state.
Jitu Patwari said that today will never be forgotten in the history of the country and the world. No one has ever been able to erase the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi nor will he be able to erase them. There is no place in the world where there is no statue of Mahatma Gandhi. If most of the ideas and values that have been studied in the world are those of Mahatma Gandhi, and as long as the universe exists, no one can erase or change his ideas.
