There were continuous protests against OYO in Meerut. This hotel was raided several times. Local people and social communities have demanded from the company that unmarried couples should not be allowed to check-in at OYO hotels. Recognizing this demand, OYO has decided to change its policy. The company has clarified in the new policy that OYO’s partner hotels can refuse check-in to unmarried couples keeping social sensitivity in mind.
