East Champaran, June 01 (HS). Nitish Kumar, a PhD scholar of the Department of Media Studies of Mahatma Gandhi Central University, after being selected for the post of Assistant Professor in the National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), has been selected for the National Fellowship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC) in view of his qualifications.
It is noteworthy that the NFOBC scheme has been launched to meet the needs of the candidates from other backward classes (OBC) of the society and provide them an opportunity to do advanced studies and research. So that they can pursue higher studies for PhD degree (full time) in science, humanities and social sciences and engineering.
On this achievement of Nitish, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjay Srivastava has wished him a bright future and said that the Media Department is continuously progressing and setting new records. Prof. Ranjit Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman of the School of Computational Science, Information and Communication Technology, congratulated the department and student Nitish on this achievement and said that his achievement will serve as an inspiration for other students.
Head of the Department of Media Studies, Dr. Anjani Kumar Jha said that Nitish's research work will give a new direction to the society. Nitish Kumar is doing his PhD research under the guidance of Assistant Professor of Media Studies, Dr. Sunil Deepak Ghodke. He has expressed his happiness. Assistant Professor of the Department, Dr. Paramatma Kumar Mishra, Dr. Saket Raman and Assistant Professor Dr. Uma Yadav have also congratulated Nitish.
