Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut made a big claim on Saturday, saying that Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United (JDU) may soon break the alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He alleged that BJP is trying to bring 10 JDU MPs to its side, due to which Nitish Kumar is feeling uncomfortable.
BJP accused of “stabbing in the back”
Sanjay Raut accused BJP of betraying its ally in Bihar. He said:
“BJP is in alliance with Nitish Kumar in Bihar, but it is trying to pull JDU MPs into its fold. Nitish Kumar is restless due to this. I think he will not stay in NDA for long.”
Raut further said that 2025 Bihar Assembly elections JDU will probably not be a part of NDA. His statement highlights JDU’s inclination towards the opposition alliance “India” and the growing tension with the BJP.
“The central government will not last for two years”
Sanjay Raut also launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led central government. He said that he doubted that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government led by Will it survive till 2026 or not? He said at a press conference:
“I think Modi will not be able to complete his tenure. If the central government becomes unstable, it will impact Maharashtra and other states as well.”
According to Raut, his doubts about the stability of the central government can cause political instability in the entire country including Maharashtra.
