Nitish government will build madrasas: Nitish government has taken a big decision regarding the land of Waqf Board in Bihar. Nitish Kumar government has announced the construction of 21 new madrasas on Waqf land. Senior JDU leader and Minority Welfare Minister in Bihar government, Jama Khan said that people doing politics of minority community are only doing vote bank politics. Today, under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, every society has developed and will develop. In the new madrasa, there will be better education system for the people and re-appointment of teachers.

JDU supports Centre on Wakf Bill

Recently, JDU leader and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh) had supported the Center on the Waqf Bill, dismissing all the apprehensions of the opposition. He said, listened to many honorable members. JDU is a party here. After listening to many honorable members, it seems that this amendment in the Waqf Board Act is anti-Muslim. Where is the anti-Muslim? Who calls them anti-Muslim? Here an example is being given, Ayodhya temple, gurudwara, if you do not see the difference between the temple and the institution, then what argument are you giving? This is not a temple, no attempt has been made to tamper with your mosque.

TDP also supports

Supporting the bill, GM Harish of NDA ally Telugu Desam Party (TDP) said, “TDP supports the Wakf Amendment Bill. It is the government's responsibility to bring about reforms and streamline the objective. We support the bill. We have no problem in sending it to the select committee.”

Is there any provision in the new bill?

Comparing the provisions of the existing law and the new bill, earlier if the Waqf Board claimed any land, the owner of the land could go to the Waqf Tribunal for justice. According to the new bill, apart from the tribunal, they will have the right to appeal in the Revenue Court, Civil Court and High Court. While till now the decision of the Waqf Tribunal was considered final in disputes between the Waqf Board and others, now the new bill will give the right to go to the High Court against the decision of the tribunal.

The bill talks about these rights

Till now, where there was an old mosque or the land/property was used for Islamic purposes, the property was automatically considered a Waqf. The new bill states that when a person donates his land, property, only then it will be considered a Waqf. Even if a mosque is not built on it. Most importantly, while there was a ban on women and people of other religions in the Waqf Board, now the new bill states that there will be 2 women and 2 people of other religions in the Waqf Board.

After the railways and the army, the Wakf Board has the most land

After the railways and the army, the Waqf Board has the most land in the country. It is said that this land and Waqf property worth billions and the income from this property should be spent on educational institutions, cemeteries, mosques, charities and orphanages, but there have been allegations that land mafias, politicians and property builders play a big game in the name of Waqf property, which does not benefit the common Muslims and poor Muslims. Because under the guise of political appeasement, the Waqf Board has already been given so many unlimited powers, which are not even there in other Muslim countries. That is why the government says that a bill has been brought to amend the Waqf law in the interest of the public.
