2019 Elections
In 2019, Nitin Gadkari won this seat for the second time. Gadkari defeated Congress' Nana Patole by more than 2 lakh votes. Gadkari got 6 lakh 60 thousand votes. While Patole got 4 lakh 44 thousand votes. BSP's Mohammad Jamal is in third place. Who got less than 32 thousand votes.
2014 Elections
In 2014, Gadkari contested from this seat for the first time. He got 5 lakh 87 thousand votes. While Congress' Vilas Muttemwar got about 3 lakh 3 thousand votes. BSP's Mohan Gaikwad got about one lakh votes and he remained at third place.
Talking about the history of this seat, after Nagpur became a Lok Sabha seat, till 2014, BJP has won this seat only once. In the 1996 elections, Banwarilal Purohit won for the first time from BJP. But in 1998, Congress again defeated BJP. After that Nitin Gadkari came and ended BJP's drought on this seat.

Apart from oranges, Nagpur is also famous in the country because the headquarters of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is located here. RSS was established 99 years ago.
