Nine Naxalites killed in clash with police on Dantewada-Bijapur border in Chhattisgarh | News India

Chhattisgarh Naxalite encounter: There has been an encounter between the police and Naxalites in the forests of Lohagaon Pidia on the border of Dantewada-Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. 9 Naxalites are reported to have been killed in this encounter.

According to information received from the police, the jawans had an encounter with the Naxalites' PLGA Company No. 2. In this encounter, the jawans have killed 9 Naxalites so far. Along with the bodies of the Naxalites, SLR, 303 and 12 bore weapons have also been recovered from the spot. Bijapur SP Jitendra Yadav has confirmed this.

Information about Maoist movement received

It is noteworthy that once again there has been a clash between Naxalites and security forces in Chhattisgarh. Police officials said that on Tuesday, September 3, when the security forces were out on patrol, they received information about the movement of Maoists in West Bastar division. Then the encounter started at 10.30 am on Tuesday.

Earlier, 3 Naxalites were killed in the encounter

Earlier on August 29, there was an encounter between the police and Naxalites on the Narayanpur-Kanker border under the 'anti-Naxal' operation. During this, the security forces killed 3 Naxalites.

Last August, security forces had captured and killed many Naxalites in an anti-Naxal operation. Dantewada police had also achieved a big success in the beginning of August. A hardcore Naxalite was killed in the encounter. Weapons and other items were also recovered.
