Nifty rose 98 points to 22055 due to short covering of funds

Auto index increased by 553: Eicher rose by Rs 85, Tube by Rs 130, Hero by Rs 114, Maruti by Rs 134.

Today, BSE Auto Index closed 552.71 points higher at 51984.19 with heavy short covering in automobile stocks. 1:1 share bonus in BPCL rises by Rs 26 to Rs 619: ONGC, Reliance gain

Healthcare index rises 304 points: Vijaya Diagnostic, Dr Lal Path, Torrent Pharma gain

BSE Healthcare index closed 304.29 points higher at 34695.60 as funds made selective buying of healthcare-pharmaceuticals companies today. Consumer index rises by 572 points: Rajesh Exports, Aditya Fashion, Dixon Technology gain

BSE Consumer Durables index closed 572.59 points higher at 52203.64 as funds made selective buying of consumer durables stocks today. Rajesh Exports rose by Rs 12.10 to Rs 303.85, Aditya Birla Fashion rose by Rs 9.25 to Rs 256.25, Dixon Technology rose by Rs 190.30 to Rs 8450, Blue Star rose by Rs 28.60 to Rs 1416.50. The price of Voltas increased by Rs 22.05 to Rs 1298.05, the price of Titan Company increased by Rs 46.90 to Rs 3291.10.

Value buying in lower small, mid cap stocks, market breadth turns positive again: 2142 shares closed positive

Market sentiment turned positive again as small, mid cap stocks again witnessed selective valuation decline today.
