Nifty opens above 25,000, Sensex up 250 points; Avenue Supermarket down 8%

At present, BSE's main index of 30 shares, Sensex, is trading at the level of 81,670.93, up by 289.57 points or 0.36%. Whereas NSE's main index of 50 shares Nifty is trading at 25,057.20, up 92.90 points or 0.37%.

Banking, Financial Services, FMCG, IT, Metal, Pharma, PSU Bank, Realty, Healthcare and Oil & Gas stocks are seeing a rise of 0.13-1.44%. Bank Nifty is trading at 40,502.60, up 0.04 percent. While auto, private bank and consumer durables shares are trading with gains.

Among major stocks, Tech Mahindra, Adani Enterprises, Apollo Hospitals, HCL Tech, Adani Ports, Hindalco, Bajaj Finance and TCS rose between 0.97-9.33 per cent. Among the big stocks, IndusInd Bank, BPCL, Tata Motors, Titan, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Consumers and Nestle India have fallen by 0.19-4.67 percent.

Among midcap stocks, Adani Power, Gland, JSW Energy, Jindal Steel and Crisil rose 1.18-4.99 per cent. While AU Small Finance, IOB, Max Healthcare, IDBI Bank and Tube Investments fell 0.87-2.2 per cent.

Among smallcap stocks, Deep Polymer, SMS Pharma, Sadhna Nitro, Omex and Vishnu Chemicals rose 4.81-8.61 per cent. However, among smallcap stocks, Mahindra CIE, PC Jewellers, Nath Bio-Gens, Nazara and Khadim India fell 4.24-8.14 per cent.
