NIA raids in 5 states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh in terror funding case, many detained | News India

New Delhi, October 5 (HS). The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday raided 30 locations in 5 states in search of suspects linked to Jaish-e-Muhammad in the terror funding case. During this period, NIA also recovered objectionable material from these places. NIA has detained many suspects for questioning. NIA has conducted this raid in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jammu-Kashmir and Assam.

According to NIA, a suspect has been detained after raiding the Madrasa of Mustafabad, Delhi. The raid started at 03 am. In this sequence, NIA detained a Maulvi during the raid in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Madrasa in Maharashtra. After this, one suspect each from Jalna and Malegaon towns of Maharashtra has been detained for questioning.

NIA raids Iqbal Bhatt's house in Sangli, Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. Raids were also conducted in South Kashmir area. The NIA detained one suspect each for questioning during raids in Deoband and Meerut in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The NIA has detained eight suspects for questioning in Goalpara in Assam.
