Ni-kshaya camp campaign will run till March 24, 2025 to eliminate TB, 3715 people have been examined so far

Guptkashi, 16 December (Hindustan Reporter). The 100-day anti-tuberculosis camp campaign started by the Health Department from December 7 to eliminate TB disease is now going on at a fast pace. Under the campaign, 38 camps have been organized so far, in which 3715 people were screened. Of these, X-ray was done on 492 people and sputum test was done on 79 people. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ram Prakash said that the camps were organized among the population vulnerable to TB, which included former TB patients, their contacts, people above 60 years of age, malnourished, smokers and those suffering from diabetes. People were involved.

In this campaign, 93 old TB patients and their 295 contacts were screened. Under the campaign, 146 people suffering from diabetes and 25 people suffering from malnutrition were identified. And 641 people were found addicted to smoking. Apart from this, 2309 people above 60 years of age also participated for testing. This campaign will continue till 24 March 2025. In this, priority will be given to identification and treatment of TB patients. This campaign is also being run in railways, roadways, construction sites and hostels through five mobile medical vans and C-19 hand held X-ray team operated by Hans Foundation along with the Health Department.
