Ranchi, 07 December (Hindustan Reporter). The next hearing in the case of exemption from personal appearance of Rahul Gandhi will be held on December 9 in the court of Ranchi MP-MLA Special Judge Sarthak Sharma. Advocate Vinod Sahu said that due to some reason the case could not be heard on Saturday. The next hearing date in the case has been fixed for December 9.
This case is related to objectionable remarks against the then BJP national president Amit Shah (now the Union Home Minister). Rahul Gandhi wants exemption from personal appearance in this case. His advocate Pradeep Chandra has filed a petition regarding this. Rahul Gandhi has to appear in court in the case. The summons for the appearance is continuing. On this, complainant Naveen Jha’s lawyer Vinod Sahu had requested to issue an arrest warrant against Rahul Gandhi.
It is noteworthy that after the complaint was registered in the case in the year 2018, Ranchi Civil Court had issued summons to Rahul Gandhi for the first time. This complaint was made by BJP worker Naveen Jha in the year 2018. The petition said that the then National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi had made objectionable remarks against the then National President of BJP Amit Shah in the convention held in Delhi.
