New Delhi, May 18 (Hindustan Reporter) There are signs of weakness from the global market today. US markets closed with mixed results after trading under pressure during the last session. Dow Johns Futures is currently trading strongly. On the other hand, European markets closed down after trading under pressure. Due to it being Saturday, today is a holiday in all the markets of Asia. Trading is being done only under special trading in GIFT Nifty.
Despite trading under pressure in the US market during the last session, Dow Johns managed to close with a gain of 134 points, crossing the 40,000 mark for the first time. Similarly, the S&P 500 index ended the last session's trading at the level of 5,303.27 points with a rise of 0.12 percent. On the other hand, Nasdaq closed at 16,685.97 points with a weakness of 0.07 percent. Dow Johns Futures is currently seen trading at the level of 40,003.59 points with a gain of 134.27 points or 0.34 percent.
There was continuous pressure in the European market during the last session. The FTSE index closed at 8,420.26 points with a weakness of 0.22 percent. Similarly, the CAC index fell 0.26 percent and ended the last session's trading at the level of 8,167.50. Apart from this, the DAX index closed at the level of 18,704.42 points with a decline of 0.18 percent.
