New Zealand's Chad Bowes scored the fastest double century in List-A cricket in 103 balls.

New Zealand's opening batsman Chad Bowes has played a record breaking innings. Bowes has set a new record in List-A cricket by scoring a double century in just 103 balls. Earlier, the record of fastest double century in List-A was in the names of India's Narayan Jagadeesan and Australia's Travis Head.

Bowes achieved this feat against Otago while playing for New Zealand's home team Canterbury. South Africa-born Bowes scored 205 runs in 110 balls and hit 27 fours and seven sixes in the innings. Jagadeesan and Head scored their respective double centuries in 114 balls. Travis Head achieved the feat while playing for South Australia against Queensland in the 2021-22 Marsh Cup. Jagadeesan of Tamil Nadu played a record inning of 277 runs against Arunachal Pradesh in 2022. Canterbury scored 343 runs for nine wickets in 50 overs. Except Bowes, no batsman could play a big innings. Zachary Foulkes scored unbeaten 49 runs off 46 balls. Otago was all out for 103 runs and Canterbury won the match by 240 runs. Bowes has played six ODIs and 11 T20 matches for New Zealand.
