Requirements for employers
If you are an employer and want to employ workers under this visa, you need to fulfil certain requirements.
You must have employer accreditation
You must pay workers at least NZD $29.66 per hour and work at least 30 hours a week.
In order to fill this role, prior advertising must be done, and proof of this advertising must be included in the worker's application.
Apart from this, the employee must have at least 4 months of experience in a role in which he has performed the same tasks or responsibilities which are being given to him in this new job.
The New Zealand government is also considering long-term visa options for seasonal workers. For this, the government is reviewing the 'Recognised Employer Work Visa' and will soon conduct counselling under this work.
