New visa rules: This country has tightened visa rules, now it will be difficult to get a job abroad

New visa rules: To curb the influx of immigrants into its country, New Zealand has now tightened the visa rules for foreigners. These rules have been brought by the New Zealand government after Australia and Canada tightened the visa rules. Obviously this move is likely to impact Indians looking for employment in New Zealand. With the new visa guidelines, the New Zealand government aims to control the influx of people who are deemed non-essential to their country.

New Zealand tightened visa rules

The new guidelines on how visas will be issued to those who meet the criteria include English language proficiency, work experience and skills. Here the period of stay with working visa has also been reduced from 5 years to 3 years. New Zealand's Foreign Minister Erica Stanford made this announcement on Sunday regarding the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV). It is notable that the AEWV, launched in 2022, serves as the main temporary work visa to mitigate the workforce shortage caused by the pandemic and lockdown.

The number of foreigners in New Zealand looking for work increased

The number of migrants has increased rapidly after the Corona epidemic in New Zealand, which has a population of 51 lakh. According to a figure, about 1.73 lakh migrants came to New Zealand in search of work in 2023. Talking about this, New Zealand's Foreign Minister Erica Stanford said, “The government is focusing on attracting high-skilled migrants to areas where there is a skills shortage. “We need to make sure New Zealanders can get those jobs.” Be at the forefront, where there is no dearth of skills.”
