New Vande Bharat train: Going to Kashmir is going to become easier from the new year 2025. Indian Railways is going to make it easier for tourists. Because the obstacles of the country’s most challenging and important T-1 tunnel between Katra and Srinagar have been removed. Train service will start on the rail route soon. In such a situation, now Delhi and Kanyakumari will be directly connected to Srinagar. According to the information, Railways aims to complete this project by December 31, so that direct trains can run from Delhi on this route in January. Railways is considering starting Vande Bharat sleeper train between New Delhi and Srinagar. PM Modi can launch this project on Republic Day. This is being discussed with the PMO.

According to the information, the stops of this Vande Bharat train will be limited to major stations like Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jammu Tawi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. The new Vande Bharat Sleeper train will cover a distance of over 800 kilometers in less than 13 hours. It will depart from New Delhi at 7 pm and reach Srinagar at 8 am. Fares have been fixed for every category of passengers in Vande Bharat Sleeper. The fare has been fixed at Rs 2,000 for third AC, Rs 2,500 for second AC and Rs 3,000 for first class.

This train has been designed keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. This train will have modern facilities. This includes upgraded berths, better lighting and climate controlled environments. It is believed that the introduction of Vande Bharat Sleeper will boost tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. At present this train will run between New Delhi and Srinagar, but later there is a plan to extend this service to Baramulla. This extension will further improve connectivity in North Kashmir, making travel easier for both locals and tourists.
The most difficult Katra-Banihal 111 kilometer rail track is ready.
Once rail connectivity is established to Srinagar, rail traffic and VVIP movement will increase. Katra-Banihal, the most difficult rail link in Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla, 111 km long rail route has been ready. This also includes the work of 3.2 km T-1 tunnel between Katra residential area. This tunnel could not be built in the shape it was being built in. For this the help of foreign experts was taken. Now its obstacles have been removed. According to the information, this project is now in its final stage. The date of inauguration of this project will be officially announced by the Railways as soon as it gets time from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The work of the 272 km long rail route project is now in its final stages. Work is going on on the 111 km long Katra to Banihal section. An arch bridge has been built on it. This rail section was the most challenging part of the project. Here in the hilly area, 97 percent of the track passes through tunnels or bridges. The work of building tunnels in the hills of Reasi and Ramban districts was extremely difficult.
World’s highest Chenab bridge built
The project also includes the world’s highest Chenab Bridge. There are a total of 38 tunnels in the project. The largest tunnel in this is 12.75 kilometers long. It also has 927 bridges, including the Chenab Bridge. Its length is 1375 meters, archer length is 467 meters and height is 359 meters. About 35 meters higher than the Eiffel Tower, this bridge is considered to be the highest Archer Bridge.
