New Vande Bharat: Preparations to run another Vande Bharat on this route; DRM told when the train will run

In the next five to six months, Kosi residents will get the gift of Saharsa-Howrah Up Down Vande Bharat Express. Through this train, Saharsa will be directly connected to Howrah through railway for the first time. Till now, passengers could reach Sealdah only by Hatay Bazaar Express running from Saharsa. He had to catch another train to go to Howrah.

DRM of Samastipur division Vinay Srivastava said that Vande Bharat train will run from Saharsa to Howrah. Maintenance, cleaning and washing of the train will be done at Washing Pit Line 2 of Saharsa. For this, the remaining work of the second washing pit line in Saharsa will be completed soon. On the question of obstruction in the construction of the second washing pit due to not getting the approval for variation, he said that talks have been held with the Railway Board. Whatever the reason for the blockage, it will go away in two-three days. He said that the construction work of the second washing pit is going on, the concerned department of the Railways has been asked to complete whatever remaining work.

DRM said that OHE facility will be restored at the second washing pit of Saharsa before the operation of Saharsa-Howrah Vande Bharat Express. 430 volt supply will be connected. Cranes and other necessary things will be installed. Vande Bharat Express will run between Saharsa-Howrah in five to six months. The speed of the train will be up to 110 kilometers per hour. After receiving the letter from the Railway Board, preparations have been started to run the Vande Bharat train.

Due to the variation not being approved, the work agency of Pune is going to stop the work till the track work is completed. The pace of track work being done by the agency is also slow. If the variation is not approved then all the work related to catwalk, pathway, hydrant and electric in 230 meters will get stuck. The length of the second wash will remain only 590 meters instead of 600 meters.
