New school timings: Government schools will run from 8 am from April 15

Change in school timings: Government schools will operate from 8 am from April 15. Summer vacation is scheduled from 15 April to 15 May in government schools. During this period, schools will run from 8 to 10 pm.

DEO Ajay Kumar Singh issued instructions in this regard on Wednesday. The DEO said that special classes will be run not only for the failed children of class 9th-11th but also for the children selected under Daksh of all the classes. All teachers will have to reach school by eight o'clock. Schools will also be inspected during summer holidays. The format for this has been prepared. The DEO said that children in primary and middle schools will be dismissed after lunch at 10 o'clock. All headmasters will implement this system. Every day, the officers and personnel going for inspection will give report on the number of identified children and class-wise report of the children present.

Change in timings of private schools

On the other hand, private school managers of the capital Patna have also changed the school timings. Many schools in the city have reduced class timings from the first week of April and are giving leave to children from 12 noon to 1 pm. In most of the private schools of the city, classes are being conducted from 6:45 am to 1 pm. In view of the heat, ground assembly has also been closed in many private schools. Necessary guidelines can soon be given by the district administration regarding the timing of government schools.

Increased problems for children studying in government schools

In a way, in most of the private schools of the city, children are being dismissed till 1 pm. At the same time, classes are being conducted in government schools of the city from 10 am to 3 pm. Due to changing weather conditions, children studying in government schools are facing problems in commuting to school as well as in studying in the classroom. Due to the heat in the afternoon, in some schools, children are being taught outside in the verandah, so that their health does not deteriorate.
