Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has shared the video of the testing of Vande Bharat Sleeper train on social media, in which the train is seen running at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour.

Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Trial: Major Updates

• Trial in Kota Division:
  • Vande Bharat sleeper train is being tested between Kota-Nagda and Rohal Khurd-Chaumhala sections.
  • The train traveled at a speed of 180 km/h, and yet even a drop of water spilled from the glass inside proves how stable this train is.
• Trial Period:
  • The trial has started from December 31 and will continue till the end of the month.
  • Tests are being conducted on empty trains, varying weights, and curved tracks.
• Important Trial Locations:
  • Kota to Laban: Distance 30 kilometers.
  • Rohal Khurd to Kota: Distance of 40 kilometers.
• Further process:
  • After the trial, the Railway Safety Commissioner will evaluate the train.
  • After final approval, the train will be handed over to Indian Railways for operation.
