After the coup of Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh, the situation is changing, now the current interim government of the country is giving free hand to fundamentalist organizations. The government led by Nobel Prize winner Prof. Mohammad Yunus has started lifting the ban on anti-India fundamentalist organizations. Along with lifting the ban on Islamic party Jamaat-e-Islami and its organizations, Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) president Jashimuddin Rahmani was also released on parole. Jashimuddin and his organization are associated with Al-Qaeda.
When Sheikh Hasina was in power, she had launched a massive campaign against radical organizations and pro-Pakistan organizations. Now that they are not in power and are currently surrendering to India, there is talk that the current interim government of Bangladesh has started working at the behest of the opposition. Along with this, anti-India radicals are also being released. Jashimuddin, who was recently released, was accused of being involved in the murder of a blogger in Dhaka. His organization has unsuccessfully tried to spread terrorism in India. He is also accused of spreading terrorist activities in India with the help of sleeper cells.
Meanwhile, the United Nations will send a team to Bangladesh to investigate cases of human rights violations. Many people were killed during the recent uprising, which will also be investigated. UN Human Rights Commissioner Volker Turk said that the current head of Bangladesh Mohammad Yunus has been invited to send a team. Meanwhile, a phone conversation took place between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden.
India raised the issue of Bangladesh in front of Biden. In the press notes issued by both the countries, it is mentioned in India's press note, while there is no mention of Bangladesh in the US press note. Meanwhile, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the press note issued after the talks does not contain a joint statement that includes all the words. The conversation between the heads of the two countries can be different. If there is no mention of the conversation in a press note, it does not mean that there was no conversation.
Bangladesh did not participate in the air exercise held in India
Bangladesh has decided not to participate in the second phase of the ongoing multinational air exercise Tarang Shakti in India. The exercise began in Jodhpur on August 30. However, Bangladesh Air Force officials created a surprise by deciding not to participate at the last moment. According to reports, the place left for Bangladesh was given to Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka took this step to participate with its own C-130 aircraft. Australia, America, Greece, Singapore and UAE were also involved in this entire process.
