New flight service: Akasa Airlines will now start flights from Gorakhpur to Delhi and Mumbai in April. The airline officials, who reached Gorakhpur airport on Tuesday, saw the office, ticket counter and equipment storage space. Akasa Airlines will start morning flights in the summer schedule. For this, aviation company officials have sought permission from DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation).

After the expansion of Gorakhpur airport, there are four daily flights to Delhi, two to Mumbai, one each to Kolkata, Hyderabad and Lucknow. In this, one aircraft of the aviation company Spice Jet used to fly to Mumbai and the other to Delhi.

After the start of air services from Ayodhya to various states of the country from February 1, Spice Jet shifted both its aircraft there. After a few days, the employees were also sent to another airport. Due to the high number of passengers going to Delhi and Mumbai, Air Akasa has applied to start flights in place of Spice Jet.

After getting the green signal from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, commercial officer of the aviation company Tariq Wani along with his three colleagues reached Gorakhpur Airport on Tuesday. In the meeting with Director RK Parashar and Chief Operating Officer Vijay Kaushal, the ongoing preparations for starting the flight were discussed.

Airport Director RK Parashar said that a four-member team of aviation company Air Akasa had come to the airport on Tuesday. In this, the ongoing preparations for starting flights to Delhi and Mumbai were discussed. After getting permission from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, flights will start in the summer schedule.
