New Expressways: 4 new expressways will be built at a cost of Rs 59 thousand crores, the distance will be 1063 KM | News India

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a high-level review meeting of four expressways proposed and under construction in the state in Sankalp Room at the Chief Minister's residence on Thursday. During this, the Chief Minister was informed through a presentation that 1,575 km of expressways will be constructed under four major projects ,

84 thousand 734 crore rupees will be spent on this. 1,063 kilometers of road will be constructed under these projects in Bihar. 59 thousand, 173 crore rupees will be spent on construction in Bihar.

This is how it will be constructed

The Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway will pass through eight districts of Bihar – West Champaran, East Champaran, Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria and Kishanganj. Its total length is 600 km, out of which 415 km is in Bihar.

The second expressway is between Raxaul and Haldia. Its length is 702 km, of which Bihar's share is 367 km. It will pass through East Champaran, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Jamui and Banka districts.

The third expressway is Patna-Purnia Greenfield Expressway. It will start from the proposed Dighwara bridge under Patna Ring Road and go to Purnia. Its total length is 250 km. This expressway will go to Purnia via Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Madhepura districts.

The fourth expressway is the Amas-Darbhanga Expressway. Along with this, a four-lane expressway will also be built to connect Bodh Gaya and Rajgir.

Chief Minister said- complete the land acquisition work on time

The Chief Minister said that the work of land acquisition for the proposed expressway should be ensured in a timely manner. People should not face any kind of inconvenience in this work. The construction of the expressway will speed up traffic in the state. There will be saving of time in travelling from one place to another.
