Dehradun, 07 December (HS). Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the decision of the Union Cabinet, 85 new Kendriya Vidyalayas have been approved across the country. This ambitious scheme aims to expand quality and accessible education to every corner of the country. This decision is very special for Uttarakhand because under this, four new Kendriya Vidyalayas will be established in the state.
Access to quality education has been a major challenge for children in the hilly and remote areas of Uttarakhand. Through Kendriya Vidyalayas, the students of the state will be provided with better educational facilities, modern infrastructure and the necessary environment to compete at the national level. These schools will be built across the country at an estimated cost of Rs 5,872.08 crore. This will not only provide quality education to the students but will also create new employment opportunities at the local level. Under this project, 82,560 students will benefit and 5,388 permanent jobs will be created.
The establishment of four new Kendriya Vidyalayas in the state will not only enhance educational opportunities for local students but will also prove to be a milestone for the education and development of Uttarakhand. Through these schools, education will expand especially in those areas where till now there was lack of better facilities.
Decentralization and inclusion of education: This initiative of Prime Minister Modi will promote decentralization and inclusion of education. This scheme can prove to be a boon for a state like Uttarakhand, where there are obstacles in access to education due to geographical difficulties.
There is enthusiasm among the people of Uttarakhand on this decision. On behalf of the people of the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister and the Union Cabinet. He has said that this initiative will empower the youth of Uttarakhand for the future and will be helpful in the overall development of the state. Increasing the number of Kendriya Vidyalayas in Uttarakhand will strengthen the education system of the state. This initiative will not only provide quality-based education to the students, but will also serve to give a new direction to the education infrastructure of the state.
