A meeting of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs was held at 11.30 am today to finalise the name of the new Chief Minister of Delhi. In which Atishi has been chosen as the new CM of Delhi. She has been elected the leader of the legislative party. Arvind Kejriwal proposed Atishi's name in the meeting.

Arvind Kejriwal will resign

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet Governor (LG) VK Saxena at 4.30 pm today. Meanwhile, it is believed that Kejriwal may resign from the post of CM. Along with the resignation, a letter addressed to the leader of the legislative party can also be submitted to the LG. It is worth noting that Arvind Kejriwal had announced on Sunday that he would resign from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi after two days.

Third woman chief minister

There are some names in Aam Aadmi Party who have been associated with the party since its inception. One of those names is Atishi Marlena Singh. Atishi, who contested from East Delhi, was among the candidates whose names were first announced by AAP for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. She has been made the new Education Minister of Delhi. It is worth noting that Atishi is the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi. Earlier, Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dixit have held this post.
