MoCA/AAI has allocated Rs 45 crore for the development of Guna Airport, where the Airport Authority of India has also agreed to provide communications, navigation surveillance (CNS)/air traffic management (ATM) and aeronautical information services (AIS). This airport located in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh belongs to the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Under Flight 5.2, Shivpuri Airport base has been identified for 9 seater type aircraft. New start-up airline Spirit Air has bid for flights from Shivpuri to Bhopal. MoCA has allocated Rs 45 crore to develop the airport.
