Netanyahu to shut down Al-Jazeera network: 'It is a mouthpiece of Hamas'

Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ready to stop the war on Hamas, if Hamas is ready to release the hostages then Israel is ready to stop the war. That Islamic group (Hamas) will remain in power and pose a continuing threat to Israel.

Additionally, Netanyahu has decided to shut down the Qatar-based Al Jazeera news network in the country. He has said that our cabinet has decided to shut down that network for the next 45 days.

The Palestinian government has called this step of Netanyahu as dangerous. Apart from this, Al Jazeera correspondents and other journalists have also condemned this step of Israel. An Al Jazeera correspondent said that because of this the world is unable to know the true situation of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

However, Netanyahu has not committed to overturning the decision taken by the Israeli cabinet that met under Netanyahu on Sunday.

Regarding this decision, some observers say that it seems certain that this decision of Netanyahu will create obstacles in Hamas-Israel peace talks.

It is noteworthy that differences were going on between Israel and Al Jazeera for a long time. Relations between Israel and Al Jazeera have deteriorated significantly since the death of Al Jazeera correspondent Shirin Abu Aklat during an Israeli military attack in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
