Varanasi, 23 September (HS). Angry drivers protested fiercely on Monday due to the negligence of NER drivers in the operation of Vande Bharat train. The drivers protested for a long time on the railway track in front of Vande Bharat Express standing on platform number 8 of Banaras station located at Manduadih. The drivers alleged that NCR drivers are being made to run Vande Bharat train even in NER area.

Citing the departmental rules of the Railway, he said that the area of ​​NER extends till Prayagraj district. In such a situation, we should be given a chance to run the Vande Bharat Express till there. The drivers said that despite knowing the route and caution of NER, this train is being forcibly driven by NCR drivers. Seeing the dissatisfaction among the drivers about the country's VVIP and semi high-speed train Vande Bharat Express, even the officers remained silent. There is also protest in Agra and Lucknow regarding running of the train. In Agra, there was even a fight between the drivers and the guards. Clothes were torn. The drivers were forcibly thrown out of the train.

It is worth mentioning that the new Vande Bharat train from Agra to Varanasi was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by virtually flagging off from Gujarat. When the schedule for its operation came last Friday, it was announced to run from Monday. At around 2:30 pm, Vande Bharat for Agra arrived at platform number eight of Varanasi station. Seeing this, the NER train drivers started protesting. They alleged that this train is being driven by NCR drivers against the rules of the railways.
