Nephew shot and killed uncle

Jaunpur, 01 November (HS). Within just two hours, the police solved the case of a person being shot dead while sleeping late on Thursday night on Diwali. This murder was committed by none other than his own nephew. According to the police, the reason behind this incident was murder due to jealousy and many other reasons.

Ramjit Patel (45), resident of Pacharukhi village of Rampur police station area, was shot dead on his temple by unknown people under suspicious circumstances. The deceased's wife Chandravati was also sleeping with him. On Thursday night, around 2:30 to 3 o'clock, the wife got up and went to her ancestral house, 50 meters away from the spot, for her daily routine. After some time, when she returned home, the wife got scared after seeing her husband lying on the cot, soaked in blood. She went back home to tell her family. All the family members from home reached the spot.

Meanwhile someone informed the police. Police reached the spot and took the youth to Rampur Community Health Center for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. As soon as information about the murder was received, a heavy police force including Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajaypal Sharma reached the spot and started investigation. In the initial investigation, a case was registered by the family members against the names of two people on the basis of suspicion. The police had registered a case and were investigating the matter when within 2 hours the police took the named accused into custody and interrogated them, the matter became clear.

Disclosing the matter on Friday, Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Shailendra Kumar Singh said that the family members of the deceased had filed a named complaint against two people on the basis of suspicion. On the basis of investigation and input given by the villagers, the real murderer was caught. This murder has been committed by his nephew Vinod Kumar Patel. A pistol has been recovered from him. He has also confessed to his crime. During interrogation, it was revealed that he had killed his uncle for many other reasons including greed.
