Kathmandu, 29 October (Hindustan Reporter). Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will visit China from December 02. During this period, there is a strong possibility of an agreement on the implementation of China's ambitious project Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
China's Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song met Prime Minister Oli at his official residence today and extended a formal invitation to him on behalf of China. Prime Minister's Principal Advisor Vishnu Rimal said that the date of China tour has been fixed from December 2, which will be for one week. During this, Prime Minister Oli will hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. Apart from this, many more programs of the Prime Minister are scheduled.
Rimal said that apart from trade, transport and Chinese investment, this time the framework agreement of BRI is also to be signed. For this, work on the draft of this agreement is in the final stage. An important decision is also expected regarding the construction of China's railway line from Kerung to Kathmandu. The Chinese government is ready to convert the $26 million loan given by China at an expensive interest rate for the construction of Pokhara International Airport into a grant.
