According to the information, the death toll in floods and landslides that occurred till Tuesday morning due to three days of continuous rain in various parts of Kathmandu and Nepal has reached 217 and 143 people have been injured. 28 people are missing.
Floods and landslides disrupt life
Floods and landslides have disrupted life in many parts of the country. Many highways and roads have been disrupted, hundreds of buildings and bridges have collapsed or been washed away. Hundreds of families have been displaced. Thousands of passengers are stuck at various places due to road blockage.
More than 20 thousand security personnel were deployed
Continuous rain has wreaked havoc in Nepal from Thursday to Saturday. The Kathmandu Valley suffered the most damage, where the death toll exceeded 50. More than 20 thousand security personnel including Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police have been deployed in the rescue operation.
