Brussels: The round of negotiations has started in the European Union from yesterday (Tuesday) on the proposal presented by Ukraine for membership in the European Union. It is worth noting that Ukraine has been turning towards the West since Russia captured the Crimea Peninsula from Ukraine a decade ago. After the capture of the Crimea Peninsula by Russia, a series of events are taking place and ultimately a situation of full-scale war is developing between the two neighboring countries.
Earlier, an intergovernmental conference was held in Luxembourg on Ukraine's membership in the EU.
After presenting this proposal on behalf of Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Ramihab called that day a historic day.
Observers are most worried that if Ukraine joins the European Union, the war could escalate. Because this step of Ukraine will not be acceptable to Russia, which wants to become all-powerful in Eastern Europe.
The point is plain and simple. Russia must also fear that Ukraine's next step could be NATO membership. Then the war would become abnormal.
